“Local Color” at The Works
(Newark, OH): The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art and Technology presents “Local Color”, an exhibition curated by Sunbear Studios & Gallery featuring beautiful fine art from local artists. Attend the opening reception on Friday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m.
Meredith Martin, curator of Local Color and owner of Sunbear Studios & Gallery in Alexandria, Ohio, has recruited a talented group of local artists who exhibit work in her gallery to display their best creations in Local Color. Pottery, creative wearables, stained glass, richly colored paintings and unique jewelry are featured and available for purchase in this exhibition paying homage to local artistic talent.
Featured Artists Include: Kristan Leedy, Gail Maraman, Bonnie Moseley, Josh Shremshock, Laurie Simpson, Vicki Moon Spiegel, Barb Swysgood, Kurt & Lorry Wendling, Bruce Wolfe, and Meredith Martin.
“Local Color” will remain on display until July 12.
The Works is an interactive learning center where people of all ages can have fun and be inspired by the history, technology and artistic accomplishments of the community we serve.
