DESCRIPTION:The Denison Suzuki Program will be offering an information session for those who are interested in learning more about the program at 3 p.m. on Sunday\, Jan. 22\, in the Rehearsal Room at Burke Hall (240 West Broadway). To register for the information meeting\, please call or email Jim Van Reeth\, director of the Denison Suzuki program\, at 740- 975-4644 or vanreethj@denison.edu. For more information about the program\, visit suzuki.denison.edu. The Denison Suzuki Program has openings for the spring semester. Suzuki instruction is offered in piano\, violin\, viola\, cello and flute for ages three years old to adult. The Suzuki Method is a way of teaching music to children developed by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki who believed in fostering the potential in every young person. Just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue\, Dr. Suzuki believed that any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability and other life-long skills with the help of a skilled and caring teacher and his or her parent.
