DESCRIPTION:How about kicking off the holiday weekend with a stop at Sunbear Gallery?  From 7 to 9 pm on Friday\, August 29 we're holding our last Jammin' at the Bear for this season\, with great art\, live music and the usual delicious snacks.  This month our 2nd Floor Gallery will feature The Ohio Pastel Artists League's Annual Fall Show\, a beautiful blend of landscape\, still life and figurative paintings.  Pastel is a medium we LOVE\, LOVE at Sunbear - and these paintings represent the best of Central Ohio's pastel artists! Several of OPAL's artists will be on hand to demonstrate and answer questions.  You can view just a few of the 44 paintings in photos attached.  All are for sale! \n\n\n\nMusic for the evening will be performed by Rj Cowdery\, folk singer/songwriter from Columbus who tours regionally.  Rj's haunting and heartfelt lyrics and her incredible vocal power will really captivate you.  She's a Mountain Stage NewSong winner\, Kerrville New Folk winner\, among many other musical awards. Don't forget to explore the ANTIQUES on the lower level too!\n\n\n\nEspecially for KIDS!  We have a special guest\, an orphaned baby alpaca\, "Pee Wee"\, who is incredibly cute and will charm you with his long eyelashes and fuzzy\, funny body.  Pee Wee is being introduced by Leslie Althoff\, photographer and gallery manager\, who has been helping care for him since birth.  He's friendly and irresistible\, as you can see by his photo attached.\n\n\n\nIt's all FREE at Sunbear next Friday!
