DESCRIPTION:Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) is offering a two-session Childbirth Education Class for expectant mothers on two consecutive Fridays\, October 18 and 25\, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The classes will take place in the LMH First Floor Conference Rooms\, located at 1320 West Main Street\, in Newark.  The cost is $55 per couple.\n\n \n\nA childbirth educator will teach the class\, focusing on the anatomy of pregnancy\, ways to cope with labor\, breathing exercises\, guided imagery exercises\, postpartum care and newborn care.  Expectant mothers are strongly encouraged to bring a support partner to the class.  They should also wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows and a blanket with them each session.\n\n \n\nPre-registration is required\, and class size is limited to 10 couples.  Although it is recommended that women attend during their 30th to 36th weeks of pregnancy\, they are welcome to take the class at any point.  The class is ideal for both first-time mothers\, and mothers who would like a refresher course.
