DESCRIPTION:Thursdays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm September 21 & 28\, 2017 $125 Limited to 10 students Regisration Deadline: September 18\, 2017 Join professional graphic designer and illustrator Ian Victor for this 2 day\, 6 hour portfolio intensive workshop\, with a focus on the Art of Graphic Design. This class is perfect for those high school students who wish to continue education in the arts or have a strong interest in graphic design. Ian is a fine artist who will teach many techniques on incorporating different mediums into design-based projects. Graphic Design is the discipline of visually organizing and communicating information. Graphic design is most commonly associated with a computer\, one of the many\, many tools used in this all-art embodying discipline. In this class\, we will learn how to incorporate manual techniques with various fine art methods in conjunction with graphic design principles. Graphic Design knowledge can translate to all art forms in creating visually complex and meaningful projects. Students will explore type and image combinations\, typographical hierarchy\, and type face construction to create 2-3 portfolio-worthy projects with a graphic design focus. All materials included.
