DESCRIPTION:The Works: Ohio Center for History\, Art & Technology welcomes a limited engagement glass exhibition highlighting the work of current Artist in Residence\, Sarah Michalik. ?Topography In Flux: Navigating Perpetual Landscapes? opens to the public with an artist reception on Friday\, April 4 from 6-8:00 p.m. ?Topography In Flux: Navigating Perpetual Landscapes? is a collection of installations and discrete sculpture created by Michalik\, a New Jersey based artist. Her work is influenced by her time in Newark\, Ohio and draws from the experience of traveling to a new place. Referencing landscapes of the area\, such as the Earthworks\, Michalik creates abstract topographical sculpture as a tribute to the beauty of the land\, and a vehicle to understand one?s connection to it. Meet this talented glass artist and enjoy beverages and light appetizers while browsing this impressive collection of glass work available for purchase. Michalik will continue to demonstrate the art of glass blowing through May 3. The Works is an interactive learning center where people of all ages can have fun and be inspired by the history\, technology and artistic accomplishments of the community we serve.
