\n Participants will be introduced to the various arts and crafts of theatre production and performance. Activities include:\n \n - a backstage tour of the theatre and intro to theater jobs
\n - overview of play production (from play selection through strike)
\n - audition skills and simulated audition
\n - how to develop a character
\n - pre-rehearsal vocal warm-ups and physical exercises
\n - improvisation exercises
\n - viewing play excerpts with discussion on production and acting
\n - stage combat (hand to hand) workshop
\n \n \;
\n Topics and activities may vary depending upon enrollment number and group composition.

\n *Participants should be at a beginner level. An objective of the workshop is to encourage young people to become involved theatre\, not to fine tune those already heavily involved. The instructor'\;s goal is to cultivate some NEW light\, sound\, costume designers and more!
