Adolescence is an important window of development, though the common understanding of the period is filled with misconceptions. This talk will address what is happening in an adolescent brain, how those changes influence behavior, and what we can do to support them. Dana Krieg has a PhD in Developmental Psychology and teaches Child Adolescence Development courses at Kenyon College while conducting research on emerging adulthood. She has four children who have spent the last 16 years reframing her understanding of development and reminding her that she doesn't know everything.
