Denison: Cross-generational conversation about gender and sport
In recognition of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Denison University holds a cross-generational panel presentation on gender and sport. Panelists will reflect on their involvement in sport and how the passage of Title IX in 1972 has had an impact on their experiences. The panelists include Denison faculty members Kirk Combe, professor of English, and Lynn Schweizer, senior associate director of athletics, and Denison alums Katie Kleinfelder ’00, Vikki Krane ’83, and Keslie Tomlinson ’03. Q&A and discussion among the audience members and panelists will follow the panelists’ reflections. This event is sponsored by the Health, Exercise, and Sport Studies Department, the Center for Women and Gender Action, the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, and the Title IX Office.
