Denison: Film screening of 'After Tiller'
The Women’s and Gender Studies Film Festival presents a screening of the documentary “After Tiller,” moderated by Hanne Blank, visiting assistant professor of women’s and gender studies. Since the assassination of Dr. George Tiller in Kansas in May 2009, there are only four American doctors left who openly provide third-trimester abortions. “After Tiller” paints a complex portrait for these physicians who have become the new number-one target of the anti-abortion movement. The film festival takes place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings from March 13 to April 24, in Slayter Auditorium. The films include: “Radio Kobani” on March 13, “After Tiller” on March 27, “As I Open My Eyes” on April 3, “The Uncondemned” on April 10, “The Apology” on April 17, and “AWOL” on April 24.
