Denison: 'How We Lost Net Neutrality'
Denison's Math and Computer Science Department welcomes Bill Kirkpatrick, associate professor of communication, presenting “How We Lost Net Neutrality and How We Might Get It Back.” In December, the FCC eliminated net neutrality, meaning that Comcast, Time Warner and Verizon may not legally block customers from accessing any website they choose. In this talk, Kirkpatrick explains the technical, economic and policy background of net neutrality and the harms that may emerge without net neutrality protections.
