Norah Zuniga Shaw presents 'Dance, Data, Changing Climates'
The Department of Dance welcomes Norah Zuniga Shaw, Mellon Foundation Fellow, presenting an artist talk titled “Dance, Data, Climate Changes.” Shaw’s work centers on choreographic knowledge as a locus for interdisciplinary creativity. Her residency at Denison begins with this introduction to her collaborative work with scientists where she works to discover and develop ways in which dance and science overlap and are in relation to one another. She will speak about her past work with William Forsythe, and her current project in which she is the artist in residence at the Byrd Polar Research Center.
