A keynote speaker of the event is Denison alumna Sara Truebridge ’80. A consultant and researcher specializing in the area of resilience, Truebridge will discuss her work in resilience training and how it is essential to education. The author of “Resilience Begins With Beliefs: Building on Student Strengths for Success in Schools,” Truebridge collaborates with schools, districts, communities, agencies, organizations, groups, teams, and individuals, addressing opportunities for learning and transformation. Traditionally, TEDxDenisonU celebrates innovation and diversity at Denison and in the surrounding community. The event features speakers from Denison and the community who share different interests, ideas and expertise. There will be food, plenty of chances for discussion, and Laurel Kennedy, vice president of student development, will return as emcee.
