Youth Public Mural Art Camp
3 Days Monday - Wednesday 9:00am-1:00pm July 10, 11, and 12, 2017 $199 p/student Join us at the studio for our 5th annual public mural camp! We anticipate this camp every summer, as we create a large-scale mural that will be a permanent part of the community. Past murals created are now on display in the Granville public Library, Abe’s body shop ( one facing the bike path and one facing Ross’ Granville Market), Kroger on 21st st, and more! Students will work with Bryn Du artists and instructors Paul Hamilton and Jenn Pentecost in designing and painting a 20 ft long by 7 foot high mural, that will be installed in Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District. The Licking County Agricultural Hall of Fame is established to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated a lifelong exemplary service to their community and the industry of agriculture. The mural will celebrate the agricultural community's contributions to Licking County's history. Muralists will have fun creating preliminary sketches and learning how to create a large-scale piece of artwork that will be a permanent and significant part of Licking County, to be recognized and enjoyed for years to come! In between the painting of the mural, students will work on individual projects to bring home. There will be a mural unveiling party once installed and all artists and families and friends will be invited. Date to be announced. Please bring a packed lunch daily. All supplies and materials included.
