DESCRIPTION:The American Roots Ensemble\, under the direction of Adam Schlenker\, presents a concert showcasing music from three John Hartford albums. Each album reflects a different approach for arranging strings band music: bluegrass\, old-time and a more primitive style often referred to as jug band. The students have been working to develop sets of music that represent each of these approaches making this show one of our most diverse offerings to date.
