The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art and Technology presents ?Family Matters?, an art exhibit by Paula Nees and Eileen Woods, opening to the public on Friday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m. As two experienced artists with long standing associations in the greater Columbus area, Nees and Woods explore how memories are extracted from collected scraps, mementos, and casual photographs. The works on the walls as well as the installations in this exhibit retrace the past loved ones as well as humor found in 50?s decor. Some imagery is based on recollections sparked by each artist?s possessions consisting of photographs, fabric, and other bits of history. These works make visual the joy and the fragility of life. Sponsored by Park National Bank, ?Family Matters? will remain on display until January 11, 2014. Gallery admission is free and open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
