Denison: Global Studies Seminar

As the weather turns chilly, learn more about the world without even leaving Granville. The Global Studies Seminar offers a series of lectures at7:30 p.m. on Monday evenings in the University Room Denison University’s Slayter Hall (200 Ridge Road). All seminars are free and open to the public.

·      Monday, Oct. 28: "The Forgotten Power of the African Refugee: Comparative Humanitarian Approaches to Assisting Mozambican and Angolan Refugees, 1961-1974," by Joanna Tague, assistant professor of history at Denison University

·      Monday, Nov. 4: "Pacifying Rio: the World Cup, the Olympics and Security in Brazil," by Benjamin Penglase, associate professor of anthropology at Loyola University

·      Monday, Nov. 11: "Home in a Global Landscape: Pictorial Self-writing in early 19th Century China," by Catherine Stuer, Department of Art History, Denison University
