Denison University’s Goodspeed Lecture Series welcomes Leong Seow, the Henry Snyder Gehman Professor of Old Testament Language and Literature at Princeton Theological Seminary, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the Lecture Hall of Herrick Hall (500 West Loop). Seow is the author of "Job 1-21: Interpretation and Commentary," the first of a two-volume work that studies the biblical book and its consequences in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, in commentaries and theological works, as well as in literature, the visual and performing arts. He is the author of several other books and articles, including "A Grammar for Biblical Hebrew," "Myth, Drama, and the Politics of David's Dance," " Ecclesiastes," "Kings," and "Daniel." He is co-editor of "Hebrew Inscriptions: Texts from the Biblical Period of the Monarchy."
