The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art and Technology invites guests to celebrate the season in classic 1950s style at Holiday Homecoming on Friday, November 29 from 11 a.m. ? 3 p.m. Event admission is free for Members of The Works and general admission rates for Non-Members. Holiday Homecoming at The Works is a celebration of family, friends, and community with a fun twist. Keeping with the 1950s theme, guests will enjoy a ?drive-in? theater featuring holiday movie magic, an exciting sock-hop complete with hula hoop contest, and a family-style holiday decoration making activity. ?Home for the Holidays?, a holiday display located on the museum?s second floor, is sure to bring back the nostalgia of the decade with scenes of a family living room decorated for the holidays, a 5 and Dime Store, beautifully decorated retail window displays, and collections of vintage toys and Santa?s that span decades. Glass demonstrations, ornament making, music, and refreshments are also part of this afternoon of family fun. After the turkey is eaten and the shopping is done, visit The Works for an afternoon of 1950s style family fun on Friday, November 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Works is an interactive learning center where people of all ages can have fun and be inspired by the history, technology and artistic accomplishments of the community we serve.
