JAPANESE HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL
Experience an evening of romance and magic in The Dawes Arboretum's Japanese Garden, lit with hanging lanterns and floating luminaries in celebration of the fall harvest. In Japan, fall is celebrated by the viewing of the harvest moon or "O-Tsukimi." Enjoy a rare evening experience in the lantern-lit Japanese Garden, have a sip of the moon's reflection in a cup of sake, delight in delicious green tea and pastries while strolling in the garden. Special presentation by an astronomy expert with a close up look at the Harvest Moon through telescopes. See origami artists crafting paper art, listen to Japanese music and enjoy the taste of traditional Japanese beverages.
