Community Education: Are You at Risk for a Heart Attack?
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Each year, 1.5 million people will suffer a heart attack, with up to half of those resulting in death. Knowledge is the key to preventing a heart attack through the modification of controllable risk factors.
Terri McConnell, R.N., B.S.N., of Licking Memorial Cardiology, will discuss the risk factors of a heart attack during an educational session for the community on Thursday, January 30, at 6:00 p.m., in the Licking Memorial Hospital First Floor Conference Rooms.
