THE LIFE OF VICTORIA WOODHULL
Produced by Suzanne Condray, a professor at Denison University. A controversial and outspoken woman, Woodhull lived during the 1800's. September 23 marks the 175th anniversary of Victoria Woodhull's birth. In 1870, following a divorce, she and her sister began publishing a weekly newspaper in which they expressed their then radical ideas on women's suffrage, an eight-hour work day, graduated income tax, social welfare programs, profit sharing and free love. 1872, Victoria was nominated by the Equal Rights Party as their candidate for President.
