Touring the Tombstones: The Beard-Green Cemetery
Join Krista Horrocks, professional archaeologist at Lawhon & Associates, as she shares the history of the cemetery and showcases its unique headstones though symbolism found on the stones, carvers and the people buried. Learn how gravestone symbology reflected the ideals of the time and how the meaning and interpretation still holds true today. Participants meet at the Visitors Center and will travel over to the cemetery by a narrated wagon tour. $5.00 General Admission. Members are Free
