Hans Rindisbacher, a professor of German at Pomona College, will present a lecture, "Xenophobia in contemporary Switzerland," at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the lecture hall of Denison University’s Higley Hall (100 Ridge Road). Rindisbacher was awarded the Modern Languages Association book prize for his book "The Smell of Books: A Cultural-Historical Study of Olfactory Perception in Literature." He has since published numerous articles and book chapters on olefactory phenomena in literature and cultural studies.
