Description: Part-Time Instructor to lead courses focused on small engine repair, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and golf carts. This role supports the growth of the micro transportation industry and is ideal for an individual passionate about hands-on, technical education and mentoring students. The instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering practical, industry-relevant training for students, preparing them for employment in small engine repair and maintenance within the micro transportation sector. Design and implement an engaging curriculum that covers essential skills in small engine repair, ATV, and golf cart maintenance, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. Conduct hands-on training and classroom instruction, ensuring students develop the competencies required for entry-level positions in the micro transportation industry. Guide students in understanding and applying maintenance and repair techniques for small engines, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and safety practices. Evaluate and monitor student progress through assessments, practical exercises, and projects, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning Stay up to date with advancements in small engine technology and micro transportation industry trends to ensure course content remains current and relevant. Maintain equipment and tools in the training lab, ensuring they are safe and in good working order for instructional use. Inspire students to pursue careers in small engine repair by promoting a positive and supportive learning environment. Experience in small engine repair, with a focus on ATVs, golf carts, or other micro transportation vehicles. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in small engine repair or a related field preferred. Industry-recognized certification in small engine repair is a plus. Proficient in the maintenance and repair of small engines, ATVs, and golf carts. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and safety knowledge. Previous teaching experience preferred but not required; a strong desire to teach and mentor adult learners is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to students with varying levels of prior knowledge. This is a part-time position with flexible hours based on course schedules. Classes may include evenings to accommodate student needs.
