Activist, poet and writer Andrea Jenkins
Denison University welcomes activist, poet and writer Andrea Jenkins as a guest of the Laura C. Harris Series at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the lecture hall of the Burton D. Jenkins, a poet, writer, activist, and multimedia visual and performance artist, uses her art to “to give agency and dignity to transgender and Black people all over the world.” In this talk, “Bag Lady Manifesto #BlackTransLivesMatter,” Jenkins will discuss how she uses art, oral history projects, and politics to advance transgender and social justice movements.
