Denison alumna Ann Hagedorn gives talk
The Friends of the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden launch The Friends 2018 Speaker Series with noted author and journalist Ann Hagedorn ’71, who will discuss two of her historical books: “Beyond the River” and “Savage Peace.” Born in Dayton, Ohio, and currently living in Ripley, Hagedorn has authored three other books: “The Invisible Soldiers,” “Wild Ride,” and “Ransom.” Hagedorn has taught writing at Columbia, Northwestern, Miami, and Xavier universities and she also was a staff writer for the Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, and San Jose Mercury News. The Friends of the Ohio Governor’s Residence and Heritage Garden is a non-partisan 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting Ohio’s history and future through education, preservation, and conservation.
