The Denison Museum presents the "Hype4Homer" Project with a special performance of a selection from an unabridged translation of Homer's “Iliad” into the work's first hip-hop audio book- "The Trilliad."
"Hype4homer" translates and adapts ancient Greek epic and lyric poetry from its original language into musical audiobooks and live performance-pieces using the linguistic, cultural, and artistic idioms of contemporary hip hop and R&B.
Performance by Brandon Bourgeois, PhD assistant professor of classics at the University of Southern California.
